RUG REPAIR AND RESTORATION
We utilize the finest materials, techniques and skill to restore your Oriental rug properly, thereby adding both aesthetic and monetary value. Reweaving lost ends, restoring lost corners, water rot, moth damage, fixing holes with matching wool and restoring the lost designs, binding, fringes, reweaving bald spots etc. are some of the works we do.
Re-fringing
Oriental rugs over time have worn fringes. If this problem is ignored , serious damage to the end borders may occur. Our artisans can repair and re-fringe your older, but still beautiful rugs, giving them renewed life. Extra care is given to each rug to match, as closely as possible, the original fringe. We recommend having rugs cleaned when any repair is being done.
Serging
When oriental rugs are finished being woven, a protective serging is wrapped on the sides of the rug. Over time this serging can wear or separate from the sides. Our expert weaver can re-wrap the sides by hand or by machine, restoring this protection to the sides of your rug.
Moth Problems
If damage has already been done, repairs such as reweaving or latexing may be necessary. Often our artisans will be able to use Oriental rug fragments that will make the rug whole again.
Re-Stretching
Let our professionals re-stretch carpets that have wrinkled or have been in roll up in storage.
